Our weekend adventure to Zions (uno)
Preston got assigned a report on Zions National park for school so we decided to take a weekend trip, we rented a little car and made it all the way to Santaquin before we had to eat. One of grandpa Jacks favorites is the Family Tree, we agree. Very yummy although as you can see the scones hardly filled us.
Once we got checked in to our hotel we went for a walk, we found a petting zoo with rather large yet friendly animals, we were given a tour through the fields by a friendly cat for when we came to the pay booth an elderly gentleman was whistled in by his old lady for dinner. He said, "make yerselves at home," and ran in to supper.
We were famished by the long drive and two mile walk, we ate at an amazing Mexican restaurant in town.
Yes we spent our food budget the first day, we will be very hungry for the next few days. Thank goodness for continental breakfast, my large purse my friend just gave me and our jackets with big pockets.
We are excited to see what tomorrow brings, we are amazed at the beauty here already and we haven't even been inside the park yet. This is what our little family needed. After all isnt this what really matters???
Goodnight...
